An International Breakthrough by Students of MSA at the Swedish Embassy
The Swedish Embassy in Egypt was digging for apparent talents that expressed themselves superbly. MSA Faculty of Arts and Design students of, mainly grades three and four of Fashion Design Department, show cased their talents and abilities in a workshop sponsored by the Swedish Embassy in Cairo.
The workshop was running for five days and 13 students participated with, out of this world, designs with very intricate threads and motifs. The embroidery was fascinating and meticulous as they were related to a new theme presented in the previous lecture of the workshop. (Notice the contrast for stressed beauty).

The last assignment was to make a design inspired and derived from our Egyptian culture and environment, to be embroidered on a shawl with white thread to accentuate the beauty and charm of the design like the type of stitches needed or the length of the thread which is a design with artistic technique.Amazingly, the Fashion Design instructor Hans took the designs and delivered them to a girl in Siwa to make and carry out the embroidery.

Consequently the Swedish Embassy in Cairo, Egypt invited all participants of the workshop to the exhibition held at the embassy presenting their work and to announce the person who's supposed to travel on a trip to Sweden for 5 days fully paid by the embassy.

Sweden chose one young designer from Egypt, our Arts and Design Hesham Abdullah, Fashion Design student in third level to attend a renowned fashion show and another workshop in Sweden next August.

Thanks to Dr Tarek Saleh Said the Faculty of Arts and Design Dean who inspired and guided his students to that success and achievement.
