About the Youth Salon: The Youth Salon has been and will continue to be the most challenging national contest held for young evolving Egyptian artists. This major event in the Contemporary Visual Art scene has helped shape the future of sincere young artists, putting them on the tracks of becoming established visionaries in the Visual Art field. It has been the solid base that all contemporary Visual Art figures stood upon and evolved from. I, myself had the privilege of starting my artistic career/life by exhibiting and gaining a prize in this prestigious event back in 1997 when I was still a student in the Graphic Department in The Faculty of Fine Arts Upon joining the team of the Faculty of Arts and Design, MSA University since its launch in 2011 we have been building up our students culturally and visually by promoting such events as the ‘Youth Salon’ and other important visual events and exhibitions as well as encouraging multiple visits and on spot discussions around these events. Today, finally we had our first participants accepted to exhibit in the current ‘Youth Salon’ in its 24th round (Graphics and Media Art Department TA. Mohamed Farghaly and third year Graphics & Media Art department student Dina Hossam) where their works have been accepted and are currently exhibited in this major event.
