Mohamed Amr, a student at the Faculty of Computer Science, won second place in the Nile University graduation projects competition. The project uses artificial intelligence techniques to identify foods with the activities carried out by the application holder using a blood glucose sensor, then the application allows dispensing with this costly sensor and is satisfied with the mobile application.

The Faculty of Physical therapy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) held a scientific day coinciding with the World Breastfeeding Week, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Prof. Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, President of the University, and a number of faculty staff members, teaching assistants and University staff.

The Scientific day aimed to raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and achieves several goals of sustainable development and awareness of proper nutrition for women during pregnancy and lactation. In addition, it aimed to talk about some pregnancy and postpartum problems and the importance of supporting women in the breastfeeding stage, and the role of physical therapy in the health of Women before pregnancy, during pregnancy, and after childbirth.

MSA University and the Faculty of Arts and design would love to congratulate Teaching Assistant Donia Nasr who has accomplished a sports management Diploma From FIFA/CIES International University Network with a project that was selected as one of two top-achieving projects this year to compete against other international universities in the program for a chance to win and represent Egypt in the FIFA Headquarters in Switzerland.

Ms. Sarah Noaman, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Interior Design, Faculty of Arts and Design, MSA University, was awarded the title of Climate Ambassador by Climate Interactive and MIT University, the official simulator by the US Department of State, the Chinese government, and the United Nations for all matters related to climate change and the link between climate change and the amount of carbon produced.

Ms. Sarah Noaman passed the studies of the climate ambassadors in the United States of America, a richly informative study that enables the creation of a simulation model and scenarios related to the issue of climate and prediction of climate events and disasters until the year 2100 and how to reduce these disasters and proposed solutions to reduce carbon emissions and reduce high temperatures.

Ahmed Abdel Razzaq and Yassin Medhat, students of the Department of Communications and Electronics win the third best graduation project at the level of Egyptian universities in 2022 in partnership with Valeo Egypt.

In the framework of cooperation with Baheya Hospital for early detection and treatment of breast cancer for women, Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical therapy, was invited to represent October University for Modern Sciences and Arts to participate in the first international scientific forum for physiotherapy in the field of oncology to discuss the latest methods and techniques of physical therapy for cancer patients.

A team of professors from the University of Greenwich came to MSA University to examine the graduating students from the Electrical communication and Electronics Systems Department on their final year projects.

They expressed their happiness about the high level of the students and their well thought ideas as they discussed with the students the analysis and implementation of the projects and their future plans. The examiner's comments were positive and in favor of the students and showed their encouragement to many of the ideas to be applied in the market.

Within the framework of the joint cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Space Agency and the Faculty of Engineering, MSA University, an educational satellite was received and installed as the first private university in Egypt.

The Advertising and Public Relations Department of the Mass Communication Faculty was thrilled to host both graduation projects one and two. Held between the 23rd of June till the 5th of July, for the 2021/2022 academic year under the auspices of Professor Amany Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication.

Almost 35 projects presenting a variety of topics and issues that reflect the youths creative thoughts,stemming from Egypt's 2030 Vision and the Sustainable Development Goals were displayed. The projects tackled a vast array of worldwide most trending issues such as utilizing clean energy sources to generate electricity and purify water in the deprived rural areas, raising awareness about the importance of green loans and green bonds for a sustainable future and raising college students' awareness on the importance of abiding by the SDGs through simple doable steps, rebranding declining Egyptian brands and reviving Egyptian industries,mental health issues, gender equality, children health, environmental sustainability , bridging the generation gap, parental control, ADHD, and Re-branding Egypt. 

The Faculty of Languages - MSA University - was thrilled to host the Graduation Projects Discussion Ceremony held on June 28 & 29, 2022. The faculty was delighted to welcome our graduates with their families and friends who had a memorable day attending the Graduation Projects Presentations in the four pathways: Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Executive Skills, Comparative Studies, and Translation. The presentations were delivered in front of four panels of distinguished External Examiners hosting prominent professors and distinguished figures in the field of education including: Prof. Nadia El Kholy, Professor of English Language & Literature at Cairo University and the former Cultural Counsellor at the Egyptian Embassy in London & the former Director of the National Council for Children’s Culture; Dr Sherif Eid, Professor of Strategic Management & Human Resources in a number of reputable international universities and Senior Executive & Professional Trainer in international organizations in the field of Training Solutions and Consultancy; Prof. Heba Araf, Professor of Literature and Translation at Cairo University; and Mr Andrew Bishara, professional expert of School Education & Head of the English Language Department in a reputable International school.

The External Examiners provided informed comments and praised the students’ exceptional communication skills. The projects of the students of the Department of Interior Design, College of Art and Design, MSA University, Department of Interior Design, reflect their excellence and their ability to provide innovative design solutions that support societal issues,,,

The projects focused on achieving sustainable development goals and came in line with the initiatives launched by the Egyptian government during the recent period. The projects’ locations varied to serve multiple governorates inside Egypt, including Sinai, New Valley, Aswan, and Fayoum, in addition to the New Administrative Capital and Sixth of October City. Design solutions based on local materials, reuse and recycling of materials, in addition to focusing on reducing energy consumption inside buildings.

In the Cinema and Theatre Production and Set Design department students learn to choose, analyze, adapt, interpret and visualize various novels which cover different genres in order to put a complete vision to cinematic and theatrical productions. The Graduation Projects of Class 2022 were both SDGs and Egypt's Vision 2030 oriented. The students tackled issues and ideas of great importance and impact in society.

The Cinematic Adaptations covered the issues of Well Being, Gender Inequality, Peace, Justice, Cultural Heritage, Identity, Social Inclusion of Disability and Discrimination. Mark Haddon's "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time", Shereen Fathy amazingly visualized how an autistic child perceives the world around him (SDGs 3,10), Shereen benefited greatly from the late Eng.Ahmed Helmy's (Head of Chamber of Woodworking & Furniture Industry) initiative to support Autism. In "Holes in the Black Cloth" by Ehsan Abd-Elkodous, Yasmin El-Gebaly interpreted Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and how it causes dispersion to individuals (SDGs 3,10).

These projects were focusing on SDGs since they aimed to improve and solve some of the social issues as the students targeted poverty, reviving heritage and overconsumption in their projects, and spotlighted design solutions through fashion.

Some of the designs included: Reviving the Siwan oasis tradition clothing, using the looming technique, using textile leftovers with Sinai crafts, using recycling wedding gowns, using el Ferka craft, using El Zabalen neighborhood products, using orphan artworks, using ADHD kids’ art therapy crafts for creating contemporary women's ready-to-wear collections.

The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) conducted its Journalism Graduation Project discussion, under the supervision of Dr. Hala El Zahed, the Journalism Program Leader.

The project represented a magazine (paper & online publication) called "The Expressionist" which tackled popular Egyptian culture, museums, and entertainment news in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Presented by both students Nour Saad and Shaza Khairy, the project was judged by external and internal panelists, Ms. Heba Helmy, editor-in-chief of Egypt Independent, and Professor Maha El Tarabishi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication.

Almost 81 graduation films were on display all of which tackled various ideas, topics, and issues that expressed young people’s thoughts and visions for the future. Presenting a variety of documentaries in light of the national interest of the Sustainable Development Goals where each project discussed a variety of cultural heritage, social balance, and environmental sustainability.

Mariam began her journey just after graduating as a Teaching Assistant in the Economics department at MSA university until she got a scholarship to pursue her double master’s degree in 2018 from Université Paris-Est Crèteil in France. She graduated with MSc. In International Economics, Economics development and International Project management in 2020 with honors.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) signed a cooperation agreement with Stio Life Science, a pharmaceutical company that focuses on infection prevention & control.

A group of students in the cell and tissue culture course (BT202) at the Faculty of Biotechnology, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, were able to successfully design a real model of plant tissue culture within the faculty’s laboratory.

They started from the basic stages of plant tissue culture till they produced a whole plant. This was achieved by the use of the appropriate nutritious media that provides plants with all the needed nutrients and optimum environment.

Plant tissue culture technology is one of the most promising technologies in providing abundant plant resources and food to the world, which aids in achieving one of the SDG goals of the United Nations “Zero Hunger”.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized a field trip for the 4th and 5th level students to Eva Cosmetics Factory.

The students had this field trip in correlation to their cosmetics course. On this field trip, the students saw the new techniques in manufacturing and packaging different anti-aging creams, shampoos, and hair care products.

In addition, they discussed some of the requirements that qualify the graduate to work in this field.

As the Faculty of Engineering at MSA University believes in the importance of refining and developing students’ practical skills, the Summer Training Committee (MSA-STC ) held the fourth field trip to the EgyptAir Academy for students of the Departments of Communications, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering.

Twelve students were chosen to participate in this visit to learn about the various aviation systems, ground and air control of aircraft, as well as means of wireless communication with aircraft.

The Faculty of Dentistry has been honored by launching 4 high standard workshops in co-operation with Africa Health Excon conference which was held under the auspices of his Excellency Mr president Abd-Elfattah El Sisi.

As part of the celebration of World Environment Day, the Faculty of Arts and Design organized a seminar and workshop on recycling e-waste as one of the elements of MSA University’s green strategy, which was launched 3 months ago.

The "Think Green Committee" was formed to try to implement the terms of the strategy, and it was its first activity today, where the results of the workshop which was organized by the interior design department were presented, which diversified its functional products from lectures to introduce the dangers of e-waste and its special treatments, including the extraction of precious metals. The event was accompanied by the presence of a booth to receive e-waste from students wishing to dispose of it under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Zeiny, LAs. May Othman and Rasha Al Shetty.

With the active participation of 27 national and international companies, 1792 MSA students and 419 graduates were able to participate in MSA Career day.

The career day provided many job opportunities and internships for all MSA Family of students and graduates who are building and excelling in their careers.

The Faculty of Mass Communication hosts for the second round the Student Art Exhibition for MCOM202 Photo journalism students.

The Exhibition was conducted in the entryway of the faculty and was launched through cutting the opening ribbon by University President Professor Khairy Abdel Hamid and Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication Professor Amany Fahmy who was very fond of the magnificent art work presented by the students.

In an exceptionally inspirational and passionate event today, the Faculty of Languages- MSA University- celebrated the launching of its Postgraduate Studies Programs. The event was hosted and moderated by Professor Soha Raafat, Dean of the faculty who gave a wonderfully informative session on the new postgraduate programs offered: MA in English Language Studies (Translation/ Cultural Studies) and Postgraduate Professional Diploma in Teaching ( TLEL).

The programs start Fall 2022 and provide a platform for interested postgraduate students to expand their academic or professional careers within the excellence of the British standards of education offered at MSA.

The event witnessed a full-house hall at SSB today with MSA students & staff members from all faculties joined by a number of guests from outside MSA attending the event.

Pharma Overseas Company, one of the largest drug distribution companies in Egypt, trained Faculty students from the fourth and fifth levels through a training lecture delivered by the Director of Education and Development at Pharma Overseas Company to qualify the students for the pharmaceutical labor market.

The Faculty of Arts and Design (Cinema and theatre department) in collaboration with the Students training committee (MSA-STC) have organized a behind-the-scenes field trip to Al-Nahar TV Studios that really brought what students have been learning to life.

The students have experienced learning in a distinctive environment, with the instructional support of the technical crew. Additionally, they interacted with the setting and were able to see and feel the props, displays, and exhibits to gain an experiential connection to the ideas, concepts, and subject matter.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at MSA University is engaged to raise the awareness about the sustainable development goals (SDG) in order to encourage the youth on sharing their views in COP27 that will be held in EGYPT in 2022. In addition, the Faculty's community service unit intends to draw insights from diverse fields of study and to reflect on the quality of the environment and its relation to academic discipline.

The Faculty of Computer Science at MSA University conducted a workshop under the title of "Unity for Metaverse technical" and was given by the respectable guest Eng. Ahmed Amin.

The workshop discussed topics such as AR/VR/Mixed reality, entertainment, e-commerce, marketplaces, and robotic process automation (RPA).

Eng. Ahmad Amin engaged the students in this workshop to test these VR/AR and blockchain technologies and the students were very happy experiencing these technologies.

Our very own Reem Hatem ElHady, a graduate of the Faculty of biotechnology, and member of staff has received an acceptance to present her graduation project at the European Universities in Egypt’s (EUE) conference ‘Effects of Climate change on sustainability: the road to COP27’. This conference brings light to the grand occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, which will be in November from the 7th-18th, 2022.

Because Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now used as a powerful tool that enhances performance and innovation in education, the Faculty of Languages - at MSA University - hosted a poster Session for third-year TEFL students’ research papers.

The session came as part of the faculty’s endeavor to provide extensive training for the students on using AI in their future classrooms.

The Faculty of Art & Designs - Fashion Design Department was proud to present level 3 students' Fashion Runway

This Fashion Show included twenty-one spring/summer22 outfits designed by our creative and hardworking students.

Under the slogan "Analysts care about healthcare"; the Analytical Chemistry Department - Faculty of Pharmacy - MSA organized its 3rd scientific day on the 26th of May 2022. The students enthusiasm and their active participation were the corner stones for a fruitful day.

Around 100 students from all levels have participated by designing posters, flyers and creating animated videos aiming to raise public awareness to two main topics; the importance of healthy nutrition and the hazards of water contaminants.

Additionally, students presented 3D models for instruments used in analysis of food & pharmaceutical ingredients.
