Constructive Assessment for Learning

Within the framework of cooperation between the Awareness and Training Committee of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy at MSA University, with the German Authority for Cultural Exchange (DAAD) to develop the capabilities of the faculty members, a series of training programs have been organized dealing with different topics on education, learning, promising leadership, and scientific research.

 

The program introduced three workshops:

 

The first workshop was "Constructive Assessment for Learning", and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Reham Bahi, trainer at the German Authority for Cultural Exchange (DAAD). The workshop discussed the modern trends in curricula design. curriculum, learning methods and assessment of teaching and learning skills, including constructive matching.

 

Moreover, the second workshop was on "University Exams and Online Question Banks" and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rasha Sharaf, Trainer at the German Authority for Cultural Exchange (DAAD). The workshop discussed how to develop electronic question banks, linking questions to competencies and learning outcomes, and the optimal formulation of questions to ensure optimal evaluation of students.

 

And finally, the third workshop entitled "Fundraising Skills and Best Practices" was given by Eng. Alaa Shaheen, trainer at the German Authority for Cultural Exchange (DAAD). This workshop discussed how to search for external funding sources for educational and research projects and increase the chances of acceptance of those projects.
