Negative effects of the Covid-19 on pharmacokinetics in 3D models

In the light of the keenness of the Faculty of Pharmacy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts to raise awareness of the Corona virus and its dangers, and under the auspices of Prof. Hanan El Laithy, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dalia Abdel Aty Mustafa and Dr. Omar Elkady, the fourth year students presented the activity of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics course (Department of Pharmaceutics)

 

through three-dimensional models that explain in detail the negative effects of the Covid-19 on pharmacokinetics and vital biological processes that occur inside the body and the risks of interactions that occur between drugs during treatment from the virus and their effect on the liver, kidneys and lung, in addition to other interesting topics such as the effect of drug-drug interactions, food-drug interactions, environmental factors and smoking on pharmacokinetics.

 

The students discussed their projects that were characterized by innovation and high levels of awareness with different faculty members and assistant staff in a distinguished scientific atmosphere, from Saturday 4 December 2021 until Thursday 9 December 2021 in the laboratories of the Department of Pharmaceutics at the university.
