prize-winning International Theatrical performance field trip

Because theatre promotes us to advocate for new and diverse perspectives, the Faculty of Languages organized a field trip to the prize-winning International Theatrical performance, “Cloture de L’amour” or “The End of Love” by the renowned French dramatist and director Pascal Rambert.

4th year students of the Comparative Studies pathway accompanied by Dr Naglaa El Hadidy, Vice Dean & Professor of Comparative Studies attended the Egyptian production in Rawabet Theatre- Down town Cairo on Nov 18th.

The theatre field trip comes as a constituent part of the students’ comparative studies in the fields of literature, cinema and theatre where students are given the opportunity to explore the transformations of literary texts across time, space, and cultures as well as the connections between literature and other forms of cultural expression.

Students who joined the trip had not only great time but also a chance to connect practice to theory as well as develop their understanding of cultural diversity.
