The Role of DNA in Criminal Offenses and National Security!!

An advanced training course and workshop was organized by the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts - MSA University in fruitful cooperation with the National Defence College - Nasser Higher Military Academy at the Ministry of Defence.

 

163 male and female students from the faculty’s first year have attended the training course. The session was inaugurated in the presence and the honour of Major General Staff/ Tamer Shousha, Commandant of National Defence College. The course included various lectures about crime scene sciences, types of fingerprints and the role of DNA in detecting the perpetrators of the crime, and Other lectures honoured by a number of doctors and consultants specialized in criminology, followed by another lectures focusing on national security, including:

 

  • Western plans to divide the Arab Region.
  • Smart power and its impact on Egyptian national security.
  • Artificial intelligence and its impact on national security.
  • Fourth and fifth generation wars and Egyptian water security.
  • The role of social media in detecting crime and influencing public opinion.

The training was concluded with a ceremony honouring students and distributing certificates, where His Excellency Major General Staff / Tamer Shousha honoured by handing over certificates to the students who have attended the training.

 

His Excellency also honoured Dr. Ayman Diab, Dean of Faculty of Biotechnology, and Dr. Jihan Safwat, Vice Dean for Student Affairs. The college was also honoured to give the university shield to the Major General Staff and to take a souvenir photo with the students and members of the National Defence College. The training was also attended by Major General/ Tamer Hashish- Course Supervisor from the National Defence College and the Brigadier General/ Hossam Atef- Supervisor of the course of the use of DNA in criminal offenses.

 

And special thanks and appreciation from the faculty to everyone who participated in the various training sessions, Dr. Adel Al-Bari, Director of Forensic Medicine in Suez and South Sinai, Major General/ Dr. Iman El-Sherbiny, Professor of Crime Theater at the Police College, the Writer Dr. Engy El-Husseini, Lieutenant-Colonel/ Dr. Amani Abdel-Maqsoud, Dr. Amani Abdel-Hakim, Dr. Ghada Amer, Dr. Alaa Fawzy, and Counselor/ Mahmoud Ziyad.
