Arts and design ollivanders wand shop project

Why go to London to visit one of the most magical locations of J.K. Rowling's legendary Harry Potter when MSA University provides you one.

The students of the Cinema & Theatre Department/ Faculty of Arts & Design intricately executed a detailed model for the dusty Ollivander’s wand shop in Diagon Alley, where Harry’s wand famously chose him. The set was to fulfil the requirements of the final project requirements in “Introduction to Production Design” Level 3 Unit.

Level 3 students brought Diagon Alley shop set to life through a detailed action plan starting with the working details sheets, materials needed, budget plan, props studies.

Execution was held at the University workshops allowing students to gain experience in technical skills in carpentry, painting and lighting, as well as communication skills and problem solving.

The students excelled in creating numerous props from reused materials that were turned magically to Nimbus 2000, wands, potions, crystal balls and many other props that helped to bring the visual world of Harry Potter to the studio of Cinema & Theatre G002.

As once expected from Mr. Harry, Garrick Ollivander must be expecting great things from the very talented students of Cinema & Theatre.
