The Faculty of Pharmacy is thrilled and immensely proud to acknowledge the outstanding achievement of Heba El Refai, a distinguished graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy who holds a Master's degree from the University of Greenwich and Dr. Amr Abdelhamid, Associate Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.

 

The groundbreaking research "Impact of SNPs in the non-coding miRNAs on the progression of T2DM" presented by Heba and under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Amr Abdelhamid has been recognized and awarded for being one of the best five research projects presented at the 19th Annual International Conference of the Arabic Association for the Study of Diabetes and Metabolism (AASD 2023) Member of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF).

The conference's esteemed scientific committee appreciated the immense contribution of the research, and the work has the potential to revolutionize our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying T2DM and pave the way for more personalized and targeted therapeutic interventions. This outstanding accomplishment serves as a witness to the Faculty of Pharmacy's commitment to fostering innovative.
