MSA Engineers won Climathon competition (Climate Change Hackathon)

The excellence and brilliance of MSA students are the highlights of the local and international scientific competitions,,,

 

Two teams from the Faculty of Engineering at MSA University from the Departments of Industrial Systems Engineering, and Computer Systems Engineering won the Climathon competition (Climate Change Hackathon) held at Egypt Informatics University and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), Intel and Egypt Post to compete and share innovative ideas using technology to support the world in challenging climate change under Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology,

 

The project (a water-from-air plant) won first place with a prize of 100,000 pounds, with the participation of students:

 

  • Hossam El-Araby, Industrial Systems Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Omar Sameh, Computer Systems Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Osama Salem, Computer Systems Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan and TA. Nora Shaheen,

 

The project (Thermal and Carbon Emission Measurement Station) won second place with a prize of 60,000 EGP, with the participation of students:

 

  • Mahmoud Tarek, Communications Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Rawda Turki, Communications Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Omar Mohamed, Computer Systems Engineering, MSA Faculty of Engineering
  • Omar Ahmed, Business Informatics, Misr Informatics University
  • Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ghada Abdel Hadi,
