"The Carbon Footprint and How to Calculate It for the Individual and the Family" Session

In the light of what is happening in Egypt and the whole world, what is going on around us of the exacerbation of climate change issue and the rise in global temperature at record rates, and within the framework of the university’s efforts to spread awareness of the issue of climate change and how to calculate the carbon footprint and how we strive together to reach zero carbon,,,

 

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) hosted Dr. Mostafa El-Sherbiny - European Climate Pact Ambassador in Egypt, Vice President of Federation of Civil Associations and Institutions for Climate (FCAIC) and Head of the Million Youth volunteer Initiative for climate adaptation, to give a session on “The Carbon Footprint and How to Calculate It for the Individual and the Family” organized by the Office of Scientific Excellence and Entrepreneurship and the Committee of Outstanding and Creative Students at the Faculty of Engineering, in the presence of a number of university professors, as well as professors from Helwan University, the Desert Research Center, the Agricultural Research Center, and students from MSA and many other universities,

 

The attendees calculated the carbon footprint of their families and found out how one of us can reduce the causes of carbon emissions.

 

The professors participated in the session:

  • Prof. Dr. Nahed Sobhy - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, MSA.
  • Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh - Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design and Head of the Scientific Excellence Center, MSA.
  • Prof. Dr. Fawzy Younes - Professor of Localization Physiology at the Desert Research Center and member of the Board of Trustees of the Climate Ambassadors Initiative.
  • Prof. Dr. Eman Anis - Professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Climate Ambassadors Initiative.
