Mass Communication Students Gain Valuable Insights at "Advertising Workshop 101"

The Faculty of Mass Communication witnessed an extraordinary event as approximately 150 eager students embarked on a journey into the world of advertising at the "Advertising Workshop 101." This remarkable occasion took place inside the University premises. The innovative Global Digital Service Agency, marking the first time in our university's history that students have been offered real-world advertising training on campus.

The event featured six different stations, each focusing on a distinct aspect of advertising, where our students had the privilege of learning from the experienced professionals at the agency. The six departments and stations were:

YouTube Management: Students delved into the art of managing YouTube channels, Facebook Management: In this station, students explored the intricacies of managing Facebook pages, understanding the algorithms, and mastering the art of social media advertising, PR Management: The Public Relations station provided valuable lessons on building and maintaining a positive public image, crisis management, and strategic communication, AI and ChatGPT: Students were introduced to the world of Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT, learning how these technologies are transforming the advertising landscape, Photoshop and Video Editing: This station focused on the art of video production and editing, teaching students how to create compelling video content for advertising campaigns.

Alongside these practical sessions, there was also a parallel discussion on the "Importance of Digital Media in Preserving Egyptian Drama." Distinguished speakers shared their insights on this vital topic, shedding light on the role of digital media in preserving our cultural heritage. The esteemed panel included:

  • Mr. Khaled Abo Zeid: CEO and Founder of Global Digital Service Agency, who brought forth his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of digital media.
  • Mr. Safwat Gattas: Owner of Spot 2000 and Screen 2000 agencies, who shared valuable insights into the intersection of digital media and Egyptian drama.
  • Mr. Mohamed Fawzy: The owner of Mohamed Fawzy Production Company, who offered a unique perspective on the impact of digital media on the Egyptian entertainment industry.

This "Advertising Workshop 101" was not just an event; it was an opportunity for our students to gain practical skills and knowledge directly from industry experts. It marked a significant step towards bridging the gap between academia and the real-world advertising industry. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Omneia Zaazou and the Global Digital Service Agency for making this exceptional educational experience possible.

This event is a testament to our commitment to providing our students with the best possible education, and we look forward to more such enriching opportunities in the future. The Faculty of Mass Communication is proud to nurture the talents of our students and empower them with the skills they need to thrive in the ever-evolving field of advertising
