Cooperation agreement between MSA University & Al-Fayoum Governorate

Signing a joint cooperation agreement between October University for Modern Sciences and Arts - MSA University and Al-Fayoum Governorate to implement the visual identity of the governorate and develop the village of Musa Mizar,,,

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Al-Fayoum, Dr. Nawal Al-Dajwi, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, and Prof. Abdel Nasser Saadawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Community Development Association in the village of Musa Mizar, signed a protocol for the development of the village of Musa Mizar in the Youssef Al-Siddiq City, with a value of 3 million pounds as a first stage and the implementation of visual identity throughout the governorate, within the presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside, "a decent life" Campaign, which is being implemented in the cities of Atsa and Youssef Al-Siddiq as a first stage.

 

This came in the presence of Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, President of the University, Dr. Mohamed El-Tuni, the assistant governor of Al-Fayoum, The Official Spokesman for the governorate, Dr. Adel Fahmy, Professor of Architecture and Director of the Musa Mizar Village project, Engy Mansour, Head of Lebaladna Foundation for Social Development, Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and Dr. Nahed Sobhi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Eng. Dina Al-Bialy, Project Coordinator and Cooperation Protocol, Engineers Islam Abu Al-Darda, Amr Abdullah, Project Engineers, Ms. Hamdia Mohamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Fayoum, and Dr. Ahmed Thabet, Head of Youssef Al-Siddiq City.

 

The Governor of Al-Fayoum thanked the Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees for the university’s active participation in serving our people in the village of Musa Mizar, stressing the continuation of cooperation between the governorate and the university, and the exchange of expertise between the two sides permanently, pointing to the governorate’s keenness to harness all its capabilities to make such protocols and constructive initiatives successful.

 

As explained by Dr. Nawal El-Degwi said that the protocol comes in light of the state’s strategy to achieve sustainable development, and Egypt’s vision for 2030, and aims to develop the village of Musa Mizar and improve the standard of living of its citizens, according to a study of the architectural status of homes and the social status of their owners, through a field survey, in partnership with the Local Community Development Association In the village, pointing out that the works include demolishing, rebuilding, raising efficiency, and environmentally maintaining a number of houses, in addition to providing the necessary supplies for the building of the Community Development Association and the health center.

 

For his part, Dr. Adel Fahmy, The Project Manager, reviewed the work that has been implemented from the project to develop the village of Musa Mizar, pointing out that the idea of the project aims to use natural materials in construction away from modern materials to preserve the environment, relying on human energies and local labor and training them to produce Environmentally friendly bricks, which will be presented at the next climate conference.

 

Also, Engy Mansour explained the work of Lebaladna Foundation in Al-Fayoum Governorate, which included the implementation of medical convoys, literacy initiatives, and training of women in industries and the development of some handcrafts, especially the manufacture of home handicrafts from palm products "Al-Jerid", in addition to financial aid, preparing orphan brides, and processing Workshops for these small industries.
