The field trip served as an active educational platform, where Brigadier Dr. Mohamed El-Gohary, Deputy Director of the Medical Research Center and Innovative Medicine, gave a presentation to the students about the center's activities and projects, followed by a documentary film about the Egyptian Genome Project. Then, Brigadier Dr. Khaled Taalab, Training and Research Consultant at the Medical Research Center and Innovative Medicine, introduced the students to the different departments and explained their roles in the project and genome studies. The students asked questions and made inquiries, contributing to the development of their scientific thinking methods and the enhancement of their graduation projects. The students expressed their appreciation for the visit, which helped them acquire more knowledge about modern work areas, providing them with a unique opportunity to witness practical applications in the field of genomics.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Amr Abdel-Hameed, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
